Fun for a First Mate

 Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively.

Supporting one's partner over the years can be as simple as holding the flashlight while the other looks under the hood of a car, or helping with dishes after a meal, or perhaps in later years pushing a wheelchair.

This Wasn't Supposed to Happen

Eleven - the number of disciples missing at the foot of the cross.  Where were they?  Hiding?  In bed with the covers pulled over their head?  It didn't turn out like they'd expected.  But the story wasn't over.

Life doesn't turn out the way we expect.  

But the story isn't over.  

"I have said this to you, that in me you may have peace.  In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."  ~ John 16:33

Badly Broken

 A broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Weather or Not

Not afraid of snow...

Snow Peace

Rejoice, Rejoice

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; 

those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined.   Isaiah 9:2

Lord, thank you for making safe the way that leads on high.  Remind us that You have closed the path to misery and enable us to rejoice in Your presence.

 

Come in, out of the Rain

And the natives showed us unusual kindness, for they kindled a fire and welcomed us all, because it had begun to rain and was cold.  Acts 28:2

Thank you, Lord, for those who show kindness in unusual ways.  Please let us bestow extraordinary kindness today towards someone who feels alone and rained upon.
